We are deeply saddened to have to report that our part time co-host Troy Polkey of Shriever Louisiana, passed away in a horrific motorcycle accident yesterday 1/22/2026. On his way home from teaching school in Houma. Troy was an 18 year friend to this podcast host and wife, he was family. And will be missed tremendously, he is the brainchild behind the history corner and many of our earlier episodes. And is also in the intro talking about the dead children that will lure you into the swamps, the LA FuFA Lay. He was also a silent sponsor to the podcast who provided us with the ability to use zoom, so my apologies, but new episodes will take a bit to be recorded until we can find another avenue for zoom, as this podcast makes 0 funding off of anything.
